Giving Your Time

ProMedica volunteers offer support, companionship and practical, compassionate help. Some interact directly with patients and families. Others prefer to work behind the scenes in the office setting. As a volunteer, you help determine which tasks you’re best suited to perform.

We're Here to Support You Every Step of the Way Through This Pandemic

We are always here to enrich the lives of our patients, families and communities. During this unusual time, our staff is following specialized protocols to provide the extra level of safety in the care we provide.

  • We deliver caring tuck-in calls to bring extra comfort and peace of mind for our hospice patients and their families
  • Our emphasis is on comfort care and quality of life while being committed to supporting our hospice patients, families and communities in their unique journeys
  • Our goal is to help our home health care patients live the most fulfilling life possible and retain the greatest degree of independence right at home
  • We provide disease management and specialty program education for our home health care patients and families
  • We are always available for patient visits, as needed, to meet your unique needs
  • Our goal is to prevent frequent trips to the hospital

We are here for you. Any day of the year, any time of the day, we can initiate hospice or home health care for you or your loved one.*

Becoming a ProMedica Hospice Volunteer

We consider the chance to be involved in the lives of our patients and families both a sacred opportunity and a privilege. The love, respect and care our hospice volunteers provide are vitally important to our patients' overall well-being during challenging times.

When you become a hospice volunteer, we will provide you with a detailed orientation to the hospice program, so you will fully understand our caring philosophy and goals and have the skills needed to assist patients and their families. As a hospice volunteer, you can donate as much or as little of your time as you desire. The duties vary so that you find an area or service that is uniquely suited to you.

To find out more about our Hospice Volunteer Program, contact your local hospice agency.
